ASU requires that students take all developmental coursework during their first enrollment period (two semesters may be necessary if abundance of developmental coursework is required) or unless the student is attending part-time.
If a student needs Language Development, this course must be completed before starting into English I with writing tutorial.
ASU now offers the compass test (an ACT product). Students who are borderline of developmental test scores may want to consider testing using this tool. Contact the Testing Center at 972-2038 or First-Year Studies at 972-2080 for more information.
